The secret: Structured Procrastination

How can you get so much stuff done that people say WTF? I have a way. A name for my technique is something I learned from one of my Stanford philosophy professors. When you don’t feel like doing what you’re supposed to be doing, do something else that’s kind of useful. Make something, learn something, talk to someone, plan something. Making progress. Hit save. Upload. And come back to it when you sort of feel like it. It works for: email, blogs, start up company ideas, networking, home improvements, art projects, memoirs, Twitter, photography, real estate, dissertations, cookie baking. Some other stuff too.
