Making a company is like baking a cake

I got to meet my 18 year old self’s idol, Marc Andreessen, today and he
told me:
Like cakes you can’t add ingredients to companies after they are baked. You
can’t add hardware to Microsoft or add software to Samsung. They will just
suck.
So you must have a vision of the grand enterprise and have the right DNA
when you start.
So don’t postpone getting that advisor/supporter/employee that makes you
fundamentally smart on X. You won’t build it later.
He said other things too, but I’ll tell you those later.
Also he said he won’t finish that series of blog posts about Charlie
Munger’s anthology of human misjudgment especially of the investor mind.
Damn. You will have to buy the book.
