I had a genius pair to our house for dinner on Saturday.
One thing we talked about was the juggernaut company he runs, from New York, in Asia. 100% of the staff is there not in NY.
How is it possible? Usually I am totally against the “red eye CEO” setup.
Here however is the exception: there is a guy there who runs the inside game, and my friend runs the outside game.
All the people report to the COO. Every internal everything is on this guy.
But my buddy does the money, press, partnerships, board.
Fabrice Grinda did this with OLX as well I noticed. Co-CEOs.
In fact it may be the one way that a “two in a box” arrangement like the Germans prefer can work (imho).
Awesome. Inside guy/outside guy. Like a crime ring.
