Very cool to hear the engagement numbers for slack. About 500k users per week? That’s probably like 0.5% of all professional workers in the world…? 100mm globally let’s say.
Looked at Quip today and of 14k contacts in my phone 26 have accounts on it, and 9 were active the last month. That’s perhaps 0.1% of people I know active or 0.3% have tried it.
If the addressable universe is similar — 100mm work users of stuff globally — that’s 100-300k users after a couple years or less?
Sunrise stats around the sales to MSFT were 300k global users roughly.
So…that’s comparable across all three.
Though of course the growth curve may be steeper and many are already paying for Slack.
